This story is not cute, adorable or warm and fuzzy. It is horrifying, awful and unbelievable. I just can't stop thinking about it. It's just crazy....I totally forgot to pick up my very wonderful friend's daughter today after school. Today our kids had a half day of school, so she asked me several days ago---I said, "Sure!" This morning she reminded me. I said, "Absolutely. Not a problem."
So, my husband and I take our youngest out to lunch at a local buffet. About 25 minutes into lunch it suddenly hits me.....OH MY GOODNESS!!! I forgot to pick up Madelyn. I called her mom to beg forgiveness. She did answer my call, so I think she forgives me. I LOVE YOU---and your beautiful stranded daughter--Denise! I'm SO SORRY!
