Big Brother Blues

Poor Caleb.  He is really having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that his soon to be new-baby-sibling (or Baby Kick as he says) could in fact turn out to be a girl! He informed me last night that we only have room for 1 girl in the house. So, of course, I said what happens to your little sister if baby kick is a girl...his response..."Well I guess we'll have to sell Lilli on Amazon".

Lilli should start praying for a boy, I guess!

Baby Announcement?

Recently my friend stepped out of the shower and was greeted by her four year old son saying, "UHHH!!!  We're having a baby?"    There is no baby, but... a new healthy eating/exercise plan was born this very day.

Happy Birthday, friend.  You are BEAUTIFUL inside and out!!!

No “Straws” Attached

Baby Lili’s mommy breast feeds her.  Lili’s auntie, who is in elementary school, was curious about this whole process. She just couldn’t figure out how how Lili actually got milk from her Mommy, until…..one day Auntie was chatting with Mommy when it was time for Lili to eat.  Being upclose and personal,  Auntie actually got to see how baby Lili latched on.  It was at that moment all Auntie’s confusion became crystal clear:  “Oh, there’s straws that pop out!”  Auntie exclaimed.

Special Delivery

Four-year-old Davey's Grandpa wasn't feeling well and had to be taken to the emergency room, which spurred this conversation between Davey and his very pregnant mom.

Davey:  Mom, will you have to go to the EMERGENCY ROOM?
Mom:   No, we will go to LABOR & DELIVERY.
Davey:  What's DELIVERY?
Mom:   That's where the baby gets delivered.
Davey:  Well...why don't they just deliver him to our house?

If only that were possible!

Welcome to the world little Michael Kaegan...The world is a brighter place with you in it!

Labeled

The baby sitter's husband was briefly left in charge while the babysitter went to an appointment.  This is what Mom found when she got her little guy home...
The baby sitter left nothing to chance while she was away.

OH BABY

As I held 1 day old Corrine in my arms a brilliant idea occurred to me. There should be a mandatory law--world wide--that every government official must be holding a baby while making decisions that will impact people's lives. If that were the case, what a different world we would live in.

When you hold a baby in your arms, all is right with the world...just a thought!

P.S. Congratulations Tricia and Marc on your beautiful and smart new baby girl. She is truly a blessing to us all!

BABY

As I sit here , I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of a baby. NO, not my own. Sadly, those days are over. But...my childhood friend and her hubby are on their way to the hospital right this minute.

We have been friends for over 30 years and I am SO EXCITED for her--and her hubby whom I absolutely adore. Like most new parents, they are anxious, nervous and excited. While they may be nervous, I have NO DOUBT they will be AMAZING parents!

Here is one of MANY stories she shared during the pregnancy---
While shopping for the crib, the sales lady attempts to sell them a top of the line matress to go with their beautiful new crib. Without missing a beat, future Daddy Marc replies: Well, Jesus slept on hay and he turned out okay. What else have you got to show us? Is that a good dad, or what?
