Today we celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. I asked my eight-year-old daughter to share three facts with me about MLK. (She is the family historian.) This is what she came up with:
1. His first crib was a drawer.
2. MLK was shot while he was trying to get equal pay for garbagemen workers.
3. He liked to play pranks with his brother.
While I haven't checked these facts for accuracy, I'm fairly certain they are true. Her love of biographies is something I greatly admire in her.
